Statement

For the past few years I’ve been trying to create a dialogue between the imagination and removing limiting barriers of distance and various dimensions. I like to think of the canvas as a multi-layered window for exploration, seeking new concepts of time and the recurrence of the fact that we are always moving, always changing. Linear marks represent an acceleration of space and light being stretched. The element of stillness is present but develops into a sort of passage through space, exploring the complexity of the expanse. Sometimes, it's easy to forget that there is a vast and obscure world out there. Our imagination loves to be filled with an object. To grasp at anything that is too large for its capacity gives the sensation of being small, and that can have a big effect on the self.
